The 2011 Motocross of Nations held September 17th & 18th in France and sponsored by Monster Energy was nothing short of epic and since the MXON is often dubbed the “Olympics of Motocross” with riders coming from around the globe to represent their countries, and to take a shot at taking home the highly desired chamberlain trophy, the competition was fierce right from the very first drop of the gate on the first race which housed both the MX1 and MX2 classes as things got a little hairy going into the first turn which ultimately resulted in the Italian Antonio Cairoli, Great Britians Dean Wilson and Americas Monster Energy – Pro Circuit's Blake Bagget on the ground together although this mess was quickly sorted out although Antonio Cairolli didn't fare so well as he crashed again in this moto which resulted in his bar mount bolts having broken off leaving Cairolli unable to continue the chase and effectively ending his chance of a podium at this years Motocross of Nations.
Once the chaos came to an end, the USA once again came out victorious in this years MXON held in France securing their 7th straight MXDN victory and proving that the Americans are seemingly unbeatable in Motocross whether it be on an American style track or be it on Foreign soil with a European style track layout.
