Red Bull X-Fighters in Dubai 2011
First Round Highlights

Kicking off a 2011 world tour of freestyle motocross's elite is the Red Bull X-Fighters in Dubai which is the United Arab Emirates and this FMX spectacle which was held on April 15th, 2011 marked the beginning of the X-Fighters world tour of 2011 and which concludes September 17th 2011 in Australia.

The start of this tour was exciting and was held in front of an impressive crowd which gathered in front of the sandy Jumeirah beach on the Arabian gulf and with the Burj Al Arab Hotel as a back drop, the fans witnessed the elite athletes that defy the laws of gravity and reason as they competed in a fierce battle on a course that was nothing short of epic and just to add to the madness, the Red Bull crew even laid the course out in an X shaped configuration... It was cool to say the least and this clip of the highlights should provide evidence of that.

Once the riders started throwing down their best tricks in their runs which were including hits such as sickening 360 nacs during their runs which are no more than a minute and change before their finals, the judges started sitting up and taking note but when the 2010 X-Fighters champion, Nate "The Destroyer" Adams whom was aboard his newest weapon after leaving his Yamaha YZ250 of past years in the stables made a mistake in his run on the Honda CRF 450 while attempting a stripper flip across one of the gaps laid out across the X-Fighters course he effectively ended his chance of a win for the night.

Moving on from there, the remainder of the show was amazing with Blake "Bilko" Williams throwing his comfortable looking 360 heel clickers and Andre Villa antagonizing his competition and raising the crowd's pulse by throwing down some really clean tricks that he was tying together and then ending a run by ghost flipping his bike on to the top of a landing.

Let's just say that the Red Bull X-Fighters in Dubai was an epic start to a world tour which ends on September 17th 2011 after traveling the globe and does bring out the very best riders whom apparently also have the largest set...
