Here's More About It:

1976 Maico MC 400 5-Speed Restored with Spares for VMX *** It was recently brought to my attention that this is a 1976 model not a 1977. Since there is no title, it's been difficult to gauge, and I'm not a vintage Maico expert. I just want to be as transparent as possible *** This is my 1976 Maico MC 400 5-Speed that has been nut and bolt restored. I bought it complete with only the motor needing a rebuild. The motor is just back from a top to bottom rebuild from SoCal Maico. It has not had oil put in it but is ready for brake in. Every nut and bolt is new or re-plated. I had the original tank professionally polished and have the yellow decals if you want to turn it into a show piece. When I bought this bike, it came with a bunch of spares including a 1977 MC 250 frame and swingarm, 3 pipes 2 lower one upper, shocks, forks, airbox, throttle, hubs, original wheels, axles, etc. Frankly, too much to list or photograph. Everything is included in the sale. There are a few minor things that need to be completed before riding the bike if that is your goal. It needs foot peg pins and springs, there is a rear axle spacer missing, the compression release needs to be re-installed, and new fuel line run to the carb. Why am I selling this gorgeous machine? We are moving to a smaller house in the spring that will not have a shop and showroom like my present home. This bike is one of my favorites and if I can’t get a decent price for it, I will find a way to keep it. As this bike and the additional frame are from the mid 70’s there are no titles, but bill of sales will be provided. All of my bikes have been kept in an air-conditioned shop / showroom at my home in Scottsdale Arizona. I spent years collecting the best examples of my favorite bikes. I’ve sold a few of my other machines recently and my feedback is perfect. Buy with confidence, I don’t own any junk. No reserve, highest bidder wins!! Deposit of $500 is due via PayPal within 2 days of winning the auction. The bike will need to be picked up in Scottsdale, AZ zip code 85255. I can temporarily store the bike for a few weeks if needed while the winning bidder arranges shipping. If the buyer doesn’t have a shipping company, I suggest Uship or I can recommend a couple of reliable companies I’ve used over the last several years
