Here's More About It:
Highly collectible vintage 1973 Honda CR250M Elsinore professionally and beautifully restored with all New Old Stock Honda Parts in the wrappers by a three time International Show Car Assoc. World Champion. The attention to detail is like no other. Even the angle of the cables are the same as in the 1973 Honda CR250M bike manual. Bike has two sets gas tanks and side number plates, One set to have it look like the early "Pre-Production ELSINORE" look, And a second set of gas tank and side number plates to have it look like the stock "1973 Production HONDA CR250M ELSINORE" look. Bike also has an extra complete 1973 HONDA CR250M ENGINE. Frame number is #1024225, Engine # 1027298, and there is no Title as new this motorcycle was sold as a closed-coarse off-road racing purposed motorcycle and there were no Title's issued for racing purposed motorcycles. Bike is restored in the original color Silver/Green with two bare aluminum gas tanks, one is the 1973 production polished aluminum "HONDA WING" version, the other one is the pre-production brush aluminum "ELSINORE" version. This bike is showroom new, and has been asked to be in National Museums. It is that nice. An employment accident that caused disability forces the sale, and is the reason for the sale, and why there is no current outside photos, but only the current inside living room photos I have shown here, but let me assure you, the bike is in showroom new condition, and has never been started or ridden since the restoration, as I didn't want to burn or damage any paint. I do keep things lubed, and turn over the engine to keep it free, and it will start if somebody wanted it too, but my choice has been to keep it showroom new condition. It was ran before the restoration, and is in good working order. My lost can be your gain. Stock and without any extra's, these bikes are valued at and average $12,000.00 price. A current issue of Motocross Action magazine, "Vintage Iron" column written by one of the top motocross and off-road motorcycle museum's owner Tom White, has just put this bike in one of the TOP TEN COLLECTOR MOTORCYCLES TO OWN, and wrote that these are a buy at the current $12.000.00 market value. I have a reserve price well below that, and ...... it comes with an extra production style gas tank [around a $1600 dollar value if you can find one new] and extra set of original production style Honda side number plates [around a $300 value, if you can find them new, as most have been bought out] and an extra 1973 Honda CR250M Engine, [a $2000 value if you can find one] Don't miss out to own a very important piece of motocross history at a real bargain of a price. Put your bids in now before it is gone .....On Apr-09-16 at 15:35:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello bidders, here is an update on this listing. I have been in discussion with some of you, and wanted to let you know that you are so, so, close to the reserve, it is not worth the risk of losing this historic motorcycle. So, don't miss out on this for only a little bit more of what the current bid is. Time is running out, so bid now. You won't be disappointed. Bob.
