Here's More About It:

HUSQVARNA CUSTOM, Interesting combination of a 1975 CR250 GP 6 speed engine with a 1978 390 Automatic MX long travel frame. This bike has been in storage for 3-4 years, but the engine does run. I am listing this bike as a CORE PROJECT bike for someone who wants a truly unique Husqvarna. Like I said the engine does run, but the bike will need some service before it is taken out and ridden. I have a new throttle cable for the bike, along with fender mounting rubbers, lever rubbers, and misc. brackets. The front and rear tires are in fairly good condition, Trelleborg, with a 3.00 -21 front on an Akront GREENSTICKER shoulderless rim, and a rear Trelleborg 5.00-17 rear tire on Husqvarna Gold painted rim. (most of the gold paint is worn off). The rear shocks are S&W 15.5" eye to eye shocks with excellent compression and rebound dampening. Spring rate is straight wound purple yellow purple color code. The front wheel and rim are from a WR Husqvarna and have the odometer drive assembly attached. A Preston Petty white fender is on the front with correct mounting hardware. The gas tank is from a 125 Husqvarna and is the Yellow with White stripe and Chrome panels. The tank has a few small dents that are shown in the photos. Tank is in very good condition considering the age. NO signs of interior rust. Engine has Good compression, and it started on the second kick after spraying some fuel into the air box. The airbox to carb manifold isn't correct, and should be replaced. The foam air filter is worn out. The engine has a small crack at the top rear mounting boss. I don't think it affects the internal operations of the engine, but could be welded to be correct. The area of the drive sprocket on the engine has a piece missing from the case, this is a standard problem on Husky's that have thrown a chain at some time, doesn't effect operation. The Clutch cover has a spot where the kick starter stop is located, the stop area has been cracked from the kick starter impacting the case. Clutch covers are available on eBAY for around $30.00 The exhaust pipe is a WR or OR pipe with a remove able spark arrestor core. Pipe is in pretty good condition , a few small dents. Photos will show some wear on the seat cover at the rear on the pan, also the seat pan will need to have a new mounting stud installed. A good core project bike. Please see attached photo's
