Here's More About It:
VERY Rare! Gently used, 1973 Harley Davidson (Aermacchi AMF) X-90 “Shortster” mini bike. This has a 90cc 2-stroke engine with factory oil injection - no need to mix gas and oil! Almost totally stock, very complete with OEM parts, amazing condition. Engine recently rebuilt by an expert mechanic with over 45 years in the motorcycle service industry (will actually need to be broken in!). New first over piston and rings, new bore job, new gaskets, rebuilt clutch, new throttle cable assembly, rebuilt carb, amazing compression. We are selling this as a project because it had spark before the engine was removed and doesn’t now - this is probably an easy fix, I have too many other projects and really need the space. This rare time machine will make a great gift in time for Christmas, and it is time for someone else to enjoy it. If you do any research on these bikes, we are well under the usual selling price for these rare motorcycles. My loss, your gain. The beauty of these "minicycles" is that adults OR kids can have a blast on them! You'll be the hit of your group with this blast from the past! The following are also new: seat, taillight assembly, brake light switch, spark plug and wire, air filter, oil and fuel lines, drive chain, countershaft sprocket, fork wipers, gas cap, speedo drive cable, Allen head case bolts, levers, grips, keyed ignition switch (so the little ones don’t ride it when they shouldn’t, LOL), horn, and more. Again, finding one of these totally complete is very rare. This bike has GREAT tires with lots of life left, decent brakes, all controls and speedometer function well, and the bike will last for a VERY long time if taken care of properly. Handlebar light switch toggle plastic is broken so we are including a new replacement CEV switch that should be able to be adapted to work. Headlight will have to be connected; brake light works fine when engine is spinning and pedal is depressed. We will also include the hard to find factory service and parts manuals. Since this was acquired many years ago from a private individual (the original owner) who only used it in the dirt, there was no title but we are happy to provide a Bill of Sale. (Since the drop down menus for Title do not allow for None, we checked Clear). This bike has been stored indoors ever since we purchased it.
