Here's More About It:
Canam 250 MX-2 motor in AHRMA-legal modified TN’T Chassis. This bike had not been run in two years - three since its last time on the track - and fired on the third kick.Very strong motor - Top end within spec on original bore.Properly modified for conversion to premix.Recent Bing service and airboot replacement (among additional items listed below)This bike is sorted and ready to go ride. The only change I would recommend would be the replacement or rebuilding of the S&W shocks. There are several, more modern alternatives available to properly tailor to your own weight and riding capabilities. Modifications include:Reforming of left support (rear frame tube to top tube beneath tank) patterned after period works bikes and MX4-on production bikes. This modification creates additional room to tuck an up pipe further inward, greatly reducing pipe contact by the rider. Accommodates modified MX-4 system and other aftermarket up pipes.Extended swingarm with aftermarket needle bearing bushings. I last race this bike using modified Maico clamps with significantly reduced offset compared to stock. The added swingarm length compensated for the reduction in clamp offset to maintain the original wheelbase. As it turns out, it rides just as beautifully with the OEM clamps.Removal of OEM integrated silencer from dent-free MX-2 down pipe. Currently set up with FMF Racing Q Silencer Spark Arrestor.Powder coated frame and swingarm with approximately 20 hours of actual use. Still looks spectacular.Brand new wheelset with Sun Rims & stainless spokes laced to MX-2 front hub and backing plates with new brakes. The rear hub is aluminum (stronger unit) turned down for reduced weight. New wheel bearings installed both front and rear.Brand new Bridgestone M403 Intermediate Terrain Tires - zero riding time.NOS magnesium ignition cover.MXM Perforated tank graphics over a very nice, unstained original tank.Yamaha fuel tap - no more leaking OEM petcock.New RTR-Moto Front and Rear Fenders.New RTR-Moto Fender Graphics. New RTR-Moto Side Panels, front number plate and plate backgrounds.New RTR-Moto seat cover and foam.New RTR-Moto airbox boot and K&N Filter.New OEM rear sprocket.New K&N Air filter.Cad Plated MX-4 serrated pegs.Renthal aluminum handlebars.Rebuilt Betor forks - new seals, polished sliders.Period S&W shocks - worn but functional for a period look. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
