Here's More About It:
This is a nicely restored 1971 Kawasaki MT1, also known as a Parnelli Jone's, a famous race car driver of the era who indorsed the 1st year bike for Kawasaki. As you can see in the pictures everything has been redone. The last picture is a ad picture from Kawasaki during the era. The bike run's great and is ready to use or put in a collection. The MT1 was offered by Kawasaki for five years then the name was changed to KV75 through 1979 or 80 then discontinued. The bike basically was unchanged during that time except the first year bike had external spring forks, the very next year Kawasaki switched to internal springs on the front forks. This bike is restored all original like it looked in 1971. All oem, nos parts was used when available. Bike was taken down to the frame and it was repainted, new tires and tubes was installed, the left front fork was replaced using new nos fork, new front springs installed, new rear shocks, new wiring harness, new switch control wiring harness's & switchs, new throttle & grips, new levers, new cables, engine was gone through and new kick lever shaft, new shift shaft, new seals, new oil & pump hoses, and of course tune-up kit, carburetor cleaned and checked, and air filter cleaned, new seat foam & cover, new tail light lens, new headlight ring & bulb, Bike was test ran & shifts like it should, brakes checked and adjusted. This bike is not street licienced, it is a trail bike, it is meant to be a off road fun bike. This first year bike is the most collectable and the hardest to find of MT1s, you can always recognize the 1st year because of the external springs on the front forks. The buyer may pick this bike up in Upland Ca. or you may ship it if you wish, we will work with the shipper of your choosing. Uship is being used by a lot of ebay buyer's. We will hold the bike for you but please try to pick it up with-in 30 day's. Buyer must pay deposit through paypal with-in three day's and remaining amount in cash or paypal with-in 1 week of purchase. Any question's please ask. (Note: there is no odometer on these trail bike's so mileage listed is just because I had to put something) (Also we reserve the right to end listing) We will try and ad better picture's later. Sometimes ebay won't allow more after a bid. We know originally the muffler guard was black but we wanted to ad a little more color, this is easily changed if you prefer it black; we can change that for the buyer if they prefer.
