2016 FIM Motocross World Championship Dates and Locations
The Grand Prix of Motocross (or FIM Motocross World Championship) is the premier international motocross championship series and although most of the rounds are predominantly held on European soil, the series does travel globally which over the history of the FIM Motocross World Championship, this has sent the premier MX1 & MX2 classes through beautiful settings in countries including; Indonesia, Australia and countries on both American continents.
The FIM Motocross World Championship consists of three classes: MX1, MX2 and MX3 (These are analogous to the American Motorcycle Association's "450cc", "250cc", and "Open" classes respectively). Additionally, an FIM sanctioned race day consists of two moto's with a duration of 35 minutes, plus two laps for each moto, and the 2016 MX1 & MX2 FIM Motocross series is travelling to 18 rounds on world class beautiful motocross tracks.
