Trey Canard's
Femur Breaking 2011 Washougal Crash

At the 2011 Lucas Oil / AMA Pro Motocross race held at Washougal motorsports park in Washougal Washington, Honda rider and favorite among many, Trey Canard had a nasty get off which resulted in a red flag of the race due to Trey's injuries and the need to get the track clear so that safety personnel could safely attend to Trey on the backside of a blind and high speed jump.

Watching the video, it's apparent that Trey's front wheel clipped the top of the uphill jump he was scrubbing which upset the bike's intended direction of flight and once he touched down on the other side, the ride just became immediately ugly as Trey was sent over the bars onto the extremely hard packed ground of Washougal.

Although this crash ultimately resulted in Trey Canard suffering a re-broken femur which was frighteningly similar to the injury he suffered earlier this year and of his femur breaking crash here in 2008, fortunately, It's been reported that Trey didn't damage the rod that is in his leg since his 2008 motocross crash at Washougal although it is likely that Trey will not be contesting the remainder of the 2011 Lucas Oil Motocross Series.
